HR Assistant (Contract)

A large agricultural organization in Fallbrook is seeking an HR Assistant to support recruiting, onboarding, employee records management, and HR administrative functions during a seasonal hiring period. This position offers hands-on exposure to multiple areas of Human Resources and is ideal for someone looking to expand their HR experience.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, approachable, and comfortable handling confidential employee information.

Responsibilities

Human Resources Support

• Assist with onboarding and new hire documentation
• Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communication
• Maintain employee files and HR records
• Support benefits enrollment and employment verification requests
• Process employee status changes and HRIS updates
• Assist with employee engagement activities and training coordination

Recruiting Support

• Post job openings and track applicant activity
• Coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers
• Conduct reference checks and onboarding follow-up
• Maintain recruiting documentation and compliance records

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of HR, recruiting, or administrative experience preferred
• Experience with ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, or similar HRIS systems preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
