OUPEA is seeking to recruit a high caliber, results oriented, experienced, and highly skilled professional for the position of Assistant Education Bussiness Advisor- Nairobi region for a period of 8 months.
About the role
The Assistant Education Business Advisor will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and deepening customer relationships within Nairobi. The role requires a proactive, customer-centric approach to school engagement, distributors management, and pipeline development, in alignment with OUPEA’s commercial objectives and Code of Conduct.
The appointed individual will be reporting to the Regional Sales Manager-Eastern Block.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver sales targets by executing a focused territory plan.
- Build and manage strong relationships with schools and key partners.
- Conduct daily school visits and maintain accurate activity records.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Manage bookshops and distributors to ensure product availability and visibility.
- Support collections and monitor outstanding balances.
- Submit timely sales reports and maintain CRM data.
- Uphold strong ethical standards and represent the brand professionally.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/ higher Diploma in Education, Sales, or Marketing.
- 3–5 years’ experience in educational sales. Teaching experience in a primary or secondary institution will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation and go-to-market strategies.
- Strong ethical standards and ability to represent OUPEA professionally.
- High proficiency in written and spoken English; Kiswahili.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders/projects simultaneously.
