Our Transportation department is seeking a non-CDL Delivery Driver to join the team at our Schwenksville, PA food manufacturing plant.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position that typically starts between 2:30AM-4:30AM from Monday-Friday. Our drivers are home every day- no overnight travel! This position may potentially receive overtime according to company needs. Candidates who are dedicated, consistent, and organized with driving experience and an active DOT Medical Certificate are strongly encouraged to apply. Food manufacturing/food safety experience is desired..
Job responsibilities:
Shift schedule: Monday-Friday, start time ranges from 2:30AM-4:30AM depending on scheduled routes
Deliver customer orders via our 25-ft refrigerated box truckPerform daily pre-trip inspectionMaintain temperature, cleanliness, and product safetyUse GPS system to stay compliant with DOT hoursComplete delivery paperwork with the customer, answer any questions and notify the proper departments of any customer complaints or rejected itemsDelivery routes include the Central PA, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., New York, and Baltimore areas, as well as local stops in Montgomery CountyImmediately report any accidents or issues to the Transportation Manager and complete an accident report kit when necessaryCommunicate daily with the Transportation Manager for route/schedule changesMaintain licensing and medical certificates and notify the Transportation Manager and Human Resources of any motor vehicle violations immediately
Requirements:
Must be able to work in a cold environment of about 35 degreesMust be able to lift 50 poundsMust be able to use a pallet jackMust hold a current Medical Certificate or intend to obtain oneExcellent motor vehicle recordPrevious experience driving a refrigerated 25ft truck
