Job Summary
The primary function of a NAPA Private Fleet CDL A Regional Driver is to safely operate a tractor-trailer combination equipped with a sleeper bunk to transport automotive parts and related products between distribution centers, stores, and other designated locations within a regional area.
The driver will operate this equipment for extended periods of time on a weekly basis, between company/customer facilities, terminals, yards, or work sites in order to pick up, transport and deliver freight in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
• Transport and deliver freight regionally for short or long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
• Perform required inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment regularly, and document and refer defects/repairs to manager and maintenance representative.
• Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Accurately document and log work/rest periods in company assigned ELD (Electronic Logging Device)
• Safely load and unload all equipment/materials when needed over and properly secure all loads.
• Understands and carries out instructions given orally and in writing, including those on manifests, bills of lading and other shipping documents to determine the location and time of delivery
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the secure and safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV)
• Complete all necessary paperwork including shipping and billing documents and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
• Frequently communicates with Dispatch/Operations, in person or by tablet or telephone, in order to advise of movements, problems with equipment, cargo, delays, etc.
• Housekeeping is required by all Drivers, and they must maintain their tractors in a professional look and clean manner.
• Represent the Company in a professional manner.
• Understand and follow FMCSA and DOT rules and regulations
• Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 23 years of age
• Must have and maintain a current valid commercial driver's license.
• License must be Class A with HAZ-MAT endorsement.
• At least 2 years of CDL experience required.
• Must pass MVR check.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate electronics i.e., tablets, computers & e-logs, etc.
Physical Demands / Working Environment
• Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry objects of varying weights, 60 lbs. pounds or more, depending on job duties.
• Pushing and Pulling: Capability to push and pull carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment loaded with materials throughout the warehouse. This may involve pushing or pulling heavy loads over extended distances or up ramps.
• Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the duration of a shift. Warehouse employees need to be able to move around the warehouse facility to pick orders, stock shelves, or perform other tasks.
• Bending and Stooping: Capacity to bend, stoop, squat, and reach to retrieve items from shelves, bins, or storage racks. Employees need the ability to access items throughout the warehouse at various heights and angles.
• Climbing: Can climb ladders or stairs to access elevated storage areas or perform maintenance tasks. Warehouse employees need to have the capacity to work at heights to include open floor mezzanines and follow safety protocols for ladder use.
• Operating Equipment: Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Depending on the job role, employees must pass certification or training programs to operate certain equipment safely.
• Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small objects, operate machinery controls, and perform tasks requiring precision and accuracy. This may include picking and packing items, labeling products, or assembling shipments.
• Repetitive Motion: Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as scanning barcodes, sorting items, or packaging products, throughout the shift. Employees should be able to maintain productivity while performing repetitive motions safely.
• Physical Endurance: Stamina and endurance to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets. Warehouse employees need to have the capacity to work long hours, weekends, or overtime during peak periods.
• Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines to prevent workplace accidents and injuries. Employees should be vigilant about potential hazards in the warehouse environment and take appropriate precautions to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
