Responsibilities

MUST BE IN THE EASTERN OR CENTRAL TIME ZONE

8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Central Time or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern Time.
 

Reviews and researches complex bills to include multiple surgeries, and EMG's in order to properly reimburse providers based on the State Fee Schedule, operative report and services billed. Handles complex bill re-evaluations and responds as to reasons for denial of cases. Interacts with bill reviewers and other complex bill nurses. Reads charts and comparing codes assigned to charts against the charting to verify accuracy. 



Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Valid nursing license for the state where they will work (compact license not required) 
  • 2 to 3 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Very strong computer literacy skills 
  • Mental flexibility to learn coding (CPT and ICD codes)

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $53,500 - $70,000 annually and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
