Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solutions. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.
General Functions:
• Designs, develops, and documents work instructions for repairing Shop Repairable Units (SRU).
• Collaborates with other technicians and engineers to determine system faults, maintenance requirements and document technical procedures.
• Ensure IPC standards are met.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding and wide application of electrical and mechanical related technical principles, theories, and concepts. Show general knowledge of other related disciplines.

Basic Qualifications:
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Current GWS Team member
• Depot forward maintenance experience
• Associate Certified Electronic Technician (CETs) certification or equivalent; or demonstrated experience with soldering, troubleshooting and testing in lieu of CET.
• IPC – 610/620 Certification
• Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to handle all types of hand tools (wrenches, pliers, crimp, screwdriver, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to review technical manuals, drawings, schematics.
• Proficiency with Electrical Static Discharge control processes
• Ability to develop practical solutions to a range of complex problems.
• Ability to influence the overall objectives and long-term goals of the organization.
• Ability to understand and apply concepts within the field and related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with any of the following: IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, and/or ANSI/ESD S20.20.
• IPC A-610 Class 2 or Class 3 soldering certificate
• Experience working with spacecraft, aircraft, rocket ordnance/rocket motors, and missile components all a plus.
• Experience with assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Ability to operate a Forklift, truck mounted crane, and other MHE associated equipment.
• Experience in isolating and correcting malfunctions using automatic and semi-automatic program maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, and Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) as well as industry standard commercial off the shelf external test equipment.
• Proficient in the use of a wide range of test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
• Proficiency performing electrical system diagnostics and troubleshooting to isolate and resolve root cause problems within a circuit card assembly (CCA) or electro-mechanical system.
• Graduate of a commercial or military maintenance school or program
