Full Charge Bookkeeper

Maspeth, NY 10018, US Full Time
Compensation: $65 to $85 Yearly

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support both financial operations and administrative coordination for a construction-focused office in Maspeth, New York. This position combines hands-on bookkeeping with project support, requiring someone who can keep records accurate, maintain organized documentation, and help daily office activities run smoothly. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across accounts management, project paperwork, and office logistics in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including processing vendor invoices, tracking customer payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements to ensure transactions are recorded correctly and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

• Prepare and manage construction-related billing, including AIA billing documentation, while supporting overall accounting accuracy.

• Maintain orderly project files and company records, ensuring digital and physical documents are easy to access and up to date.

• Coordinate schedules, meetings, and calendar needs to support efficient communication across the office and project teams.

• Manage insurance certificates, subcontractor compliance documents, and required project paperwork for active jobs.

• Submit and update documentation through general contractor or client portals in accordance with project requirements.

• Assist project managers by monitoring project-related administrative items such as RFIs, submittals, closeout materials, deliveries, and field support requests.

• Help maintain office organization by supporting supply ordering and contributing to smooth daily administrative operations.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, with prior work in a construction office environment strongly preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of full-charge bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience using QuickBooks for financial tracking, reporting, and transaction management.
• Familiarity with construction accounting practices, including AIA billing and project-related financial documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple administrative and accounting responsibilities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable handling project documentation, subcontractor paperwork, and organized digital filing systems.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for working with office staff, project managers, vendors, and clients.

Compensation

$65,000.00-$85,000.00 Yearly
