Sr. Accountant
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations for a retail-focused organization in the White Plains, New York area. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting timely month-end close activities, and ensuring the integrity of balance sheet accounts. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in general ledger management, reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and cross-functional financial support in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a retail or consumer-facing environment
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Familiarity with fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across departments
Compensation
