Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager
Responsibilities:
• Direct the day-to-day accounts payable function, ensuring invoices are reviewed, coded, and processed accurately and on time.
• Supervise payment activities, including check disbursements and ACH transactions, while maintaining compliance with internal controls.
• Manage and support accounts payable staff by assigning work, monitoring productivity, and providing guidance on best practices.
• Review vendor invoices for proper documentation, account coding, and approval before payment is released.
• Coordinate regular payment cycles and resolve exceptions that could delay timely vendor settlement.
• Partner with accounting and finance teams to reconcile payables activity and support accurate month-end reporting.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor questions, and payment issues with professionalism and urgency.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable procedures and strengthen process consistency across the department.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience leading or supervising an accounts payable team in a detail-focused accounting environment.• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, payment execution, and record maintenance.
• Hands-on experience managing check runs and ACH payments with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to review financial documents carefully and detect discrepancies or incomplete information.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, approvals, and compliance standards related to disbursements.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and standard business software used for payables operations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation
