Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Drive collection efforts across an assigned portfolio of business accounts through consistent outreach and follow-up on outstanding invoices.
• Review customer payment activity and account history to spot delinquency trends, elevated credit risk, and other receivable concerns.
• Track account status closely by identifying missed payments, slow remittances, and unusual billing patterns that require attention.
• Investigate and resolve payment variances by coordinating with customers and internal partners to clear discrepancies efficiently.
• Reconcile customer statements and account records to help maintain accurate balances and dependable documentation.
• Authorize the release of orders placed on hold when account status and payment conditions support approval.
• Maintain an accurate aging report for the assigned account base by reducing overdue balances and updating account notes promptly.
• Apply monthly finance charges in alignment with established credit guidelines and account terms.
• Work with past-due customers to establish practical payment arrangements that support collection goals while preserving business relationships.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or commercial collections.• Hands-on background in B2B collections and customer account follow-up within a business environment that requires attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of collection procedures, credit practices, and receivables management principles.
• Ability to analyze account activity, identify risk indicators, and prioritize collection efforts effectively.
• Experience reconciling account statements and researching payment discrepancies with accuracy.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for discussing delinquent balances and payment solutions with customers.
• Proficiency with accounts receivable reporting and maintaining organized, detail-oriented account records.
Compensation
