Full Charge Bookkeeper
We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support accounting operations for construction-related work fully on-site at our offices in Jacksonville, Florida. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day financial activity independently while maintaining accurate records and strong internal controls. The role requires hands-on expertise with payables, receivables, reconciliations, and job-based accounting in environments that use QuickBooks and similar construction accounting platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full bookkeeping cycle, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and preparing routine financial records.
• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and ensure accounts payable activity is completed accurately and on time.
• Manage customer billing, apply incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to keep accounts receivable current.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly to identify discrepancies and maintain reliable financial reporting.
• Use QuickBooks and QuickBooks Enterprise to track financial activity, organize records, and support month-end close tasks.
• Handle construction-related accounting functions such as job cost tracking, work-in-progress reporting, and financial support for commercial projects.
• Maintain documentation associated with lien waivers and other project-related accounting records required for contract and payment administration.
• Support accounting processes in Foundation Software or similar systems when needed and help keep project financial data organized and up to date.
Qualifications:
• Ability to work Monday through Friday on-site in Jacksonville, Florida in this fully in office role
• 5+ years of experience in a full charge bookkeeping role with responsibility for complete accounting support.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, including experience with QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Demonstrated experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Background in construction accounting, including exposure to commercial construction project finances.
• Familiarity with work-in-progress reporting, job cost tracking, and related accounting documentation.
• Experience using Foundation Software or comparable construction accounting systems is preferred.
• Understanding of lien waiver processing and supporting documentation within project-based accounting environments.
Compensation
