Business Intelligence and Data Analyst

Boston, MA 02111, US Remote Full Time
Compensation: $70 to $90 Yearly

We are looking for a Business Intelligence and Data Analyst to join a collaborative analytics team supporting enterprise performance initiatives in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will work closely with data engineering and business stakeholders to turn complex operational information into clear, actionable reporting. This position is ideal for an early-career analyst who enjoys building dashboards, improving reporting accuracy, and helping leaders make informed decisions through data.

Responsibilities:
• Create and refine Power BI dashboards and recurring reports that give teams clear visibility into performance trends and operational results.
• Analyze large and varied datasets to uncover meaningful patterns, explain performance drivers, and support business decision-making.
• Partner with data engineers and cross-functional teams to gather reporting needs, validate data sources, and improve the reliability of analytics outputs.
• Maintain, update, and enhance existing business intelligence solutions to ensure reporting remains accurate, relevant, and easy to use.
• Deliver both scheduled reporting and ad hoc analysis to help leadership monitor priorities and respond to emerging business questions.
• Develop and track key performance indicators that measure outcomes across departments and highlight opportunities for improvement.
• Present findings in a concise, business-friendly way so that both technical and non-technical stakeholders can act on the insights provided.
• Support broader analytics adoption by helping users understand reporting tools, metrics, and dashboard functionality.
• Contribute to technical assessments and problem-solving efforts related to reporting processes, data quality, and dashboard performance.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, enterprise reporting, or a related analytical role.
• Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI for business users.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying, organizing, and validating data.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas and manipulate datasets efficiently.
• Ability to interpret quantitative results and translate them into practical business recommendations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain insights clearly to a range of stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and changing business needs.
• Experience in healthcare, clinical research, or another regulated environment is a plus.

Compensation

$70,000.00-$90,000.00 Yearly
