Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Lead critical activities within the monthly and period-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances to help ensure accurate presentation of account balances and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Prepare information and documentation required for quarterly external reporting and other regulatory filing obligations.
• Maintain strong internal controls by identifying risk areas, supporting compliance efforts, and helping strengthen accounting processes where needed.
• Serve as a key contact for internal and external audit requests, coordinating responses and providing clear, well-supported documentation.
• Research accounting guidance and apply technical conclusions to transactions and reporting matters in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to confirm business activity is recorded properly and reflected accurately in the financial statements.
• Use accounting systems such as Oracle to support reporting needs and recommend process improvements focused on efficiency, automation, and long-term sustainability.
• Respond to business unit questions related to accounting activity, reconciliations, and reporting outcomes with timely and practical solutions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.• At least two years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, general ledger, or audit-related work.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and its application to financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms; Oracle experience is preferred.
• Ability to manage assigned responsibilities with a high degree of ownership, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate Excel skills.
Compensation
