Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant in Middlesex County, NJ. In this role you will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, managing the general ledger, and more. Responsibilities:

• Manage full accounts payable cycle, ensuring invoices are received, reviewed, and prepared accurately for payment.

• Process accounts receivable transactions, including generating and distributing invoices.

• Process a high weekly volume of invoices while confirming proper coding, documentation, and approval routing.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records.

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close activities.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role.

• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of Excel, including formulas and advanced functions.

• Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and reconcile accounts effectively.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate within a team and communicate effectively.
