Consumer Lender - Support

Robert Half is looking for an experienced Consumer Lender - Support specialist to join a banking team in Saint Louis, Missouri. This Long-term Contract opportunity supports branch operations, client relationship management, and lending activities in an on-site environment. The role is well suited for someone who can balance operational oversight, customer service, and regulatory awareness while helping clients navigate financial products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day branch support activities, ensuring smooth service delivery and accurate handling of banking transactions.

• Assist clients with opening accounts, completing routine service requests, and understanding available banking and lending solutions.

• Support loan and mortgage-related processes, including origination, documentation review, processing, and closing coordination.

• Maintain precise customer records and verify that account and loan documentation is complete, organized, and compliant.

• Contribute to sales and business development efforts by identifying client needs and recommending appropriate financial products.

• Review account activity for unusual patterns, escalate concerns when needed, and help strengthen fraud prevention practices.

• Follow banking policies, lending guidelines, and regulatory requirements to support compliant branch and customer service operations.

• Collaborate with branch leadership and internal partners to improve client experience and maintain effective operational workflows.

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience working in banking environments.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on loan origination experience.
• At least 2 years of experience applying Fair Housing regulations in a financial services setting.
• Working knowledge of mortgage processing, mortgage lending, loan administration, and mortgage closing activities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Solid understanding of branch operations, banking regulations, and transaction accuracy standards.
• Experience using banking platforms or related financial systems to manage client and lending activities.

Compensation

$20.59-$23.84 Hourly
