Sr Copywriter
Senior Brand Copywriter - Contract - Remote
Overview
Seeking a highly strategic Senior Brand Copywriter to lead the development of a comprehensive brand book that defines and elevates brand voice, narrative, and positioning.
This role partners closely with senior design and creative leadership to translate brand strategy into clear, compelling messaging systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of brand thinking and execution, with proven experience building cohesive brand narratives, voice frameworks, and communication guidelines for consumer-facing brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead content development for a full-scale brand book
- Define brand positioning, mission, vision, values, and messaging architecture
- Establish voice, tone, personality, and communication principles
- Partner with design to ensure alignment between verbal and visual identity
- Translate brand strategy into scalable, easy-to-use guidelines
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and synthesize insights into clear narratives
- Develop real-world messaging examples across channels and touchpoints
- Present strategic recommendations and messaging rationale to stakeholders
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in brand copywriting, brand strategy, or content development
- Proven track record building brand books, messaging frameworks, and voice guidelines
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling ability
- Strong understanding of brand architecture and consumer brand development
- Ability to distill complex ideas into clear, impactful messaging
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional creative teams
- Self-sufficient with strong project ownership and deadline management
Preferred Experience
- Background in consumer-focused industries (CPG, lifestyle, wellness, etc.)
- Agency, brand consulting, or strategic creative environment experience
- Experience partnering closely with senior designers or creative leads
Engagement Details
- Fully remote
- Project-based contract
- Immediate start preferred
- Project completion by October 1, 2026
