Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s Student Health Center is seeking to hire a Physician, Psychiatry. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Assesses and treats students in need of psychiatric care.
  • Works within the EHR, to include patient history, formulating and prescribing treatment and/or making outside referrals as needed.
  • Provides input to establish short and long-term goals for the clinical operation of Student Health in the area of psychiatric care.
  • Implements the development of policies, procedures, and programs that most effectively address the needs of students.
  • Provides psychiatric care to the students of USA as needed on an appointment basis.
  • Provides oversight of the Psychiatry Residents on their clinical days when applicable.
  • Monitors effectiveness of schedule templates and clinical protocols.
  • Assists in maintaining AAAHC accreditation.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
  • Related duties as required.
