Senior Manager, Human Resources
Based in Clemmons, part of the Piedmont Triad Region of North Carolina, Triumph Actuation Products and Services is a leading aerospace hydraulic systems provider for commercial and military systems and employs approximately 230 employees. The company’s key products and services include full life cycle support of hydraulic actuation, control valves, pumps, motors, and highly integrated powerpacks for hydraulic systems. Triumph Actuation Products and Services has long served both the OE and MRO/spares end markets.
Position Description
The Senior Manager of Human Resources will serve as a core member of the human resources leadership team for Hydraulic Power and Actuation with responsibility for all aspects of human resources across various sites.
The Senior Manager of Human Resources will work closely with the site leadership to provide leadership in developing and executing a strategic human capital plan in support of the overall business plans and strategic direction of the organization. Other key areas of focus will include talent acquisition, change management, compensation, and benefits, labor relations, employee engagement, performance management, human resources reporting, leadership and training development.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the respective leadership teams on strategic initiatives, organization development, change management, and complex employee issues in order to strengthen overall organizational capability.
- Plan for sustained change to enable business imperatives; provide expertise and thought leadership on organizational issues and human resources practices. Provide support and direction on the organizational aspects of change initiatives (e.g. business process redesign, job and organization design, and change management).
- Provide clear guidance to management regarding policies, practices, laws and regulations to ensure all human resource policies and programs are in compliance with local and governmental regulatory requirements and support the achievement of both short/long-term business objectives.
- Counsel and influence key stake holders to build a high-performance winning culture and an inclusive environment.
- Oversee senior management succession and leadership planning and development to prepare the organization for transformation.
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to the business human resources function by overseeing talent management including retention, career development, training and leadership development, compensation and benefits to support the strategic vision.
- Understand the business’s strategy for profitable growth to determine how the talent function can best support the business in reaching those goals now and in the future.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree. Master's degree in Human Resources or MBA from an accredited institution is preferred.
- 7 years of progressive HR experience with at least two years leading the HR function & HR professionals for a plant or operations environment.
- Experience working in an industrial company, specifically aerospace and defense, is highly preferred.
- Experience in leading human resources teams that included labor and employee relations is preferred.
- Ability to influence and partner with stakeholders
- Strong coaching and facilitation skills
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Accountable and action-oriented; ability to drive change and business results.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills across all organization levels.
- Demonstrated functional knowledge of governmental regulations and laws that impact the employment relationship.
- Strong track record of delivering results within the framework of the human resources disciplines, including all aspects of talent, compensation, benefits, labor, and human resources operations.
- A strong generalist/business partner background would be valued with an emphasis on talent management, transformation, and executive partnership.
