Qualifications



RS&H is currently seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team in either our St. Charles or Chicago, IL office.

 

 

We are looking for someone with the following experience: 

  • Watershed delineation and determination of hydrological parameters
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
  • Stormwater drainage analysis and design
  • Experience using ICPR, SWMMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8, SRH-2D, and ArcGIS products
  • Plan production utilizing OpenRoads Designer, SUDA, and/or Civil 3D
  • Prior experience with IDOT projects
  • Preparation of Contract Plans, Specifications, Estimates, and Permit Applications

 

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program and minimum seven years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Be a licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Possess additional certifications like a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) or have completed advanced training in SRH-2D
  • Be knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Be proficient in production software, construction document production, and the preparation of engineering reports.
  • Have experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects and providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, team members, and other key stakeholders.

Hiring Salary Range: ($106,960 - $171,181) — for this location. The final agreed upon compensation is commensurate with experience relative to the position and/or primary work location.
