To strengthen our Systems Engineering team, we are looking for an enthusiastic Automation Engineer with a passion for high-tech systems.

As part of the Systems Engineering team, you will be responsible for the electrical, system, control, and safety design of our advanced systems. You will contribute to the development of new solutions as well as the improvement and maintenance of existing systems.

In this role, you will focus in particular on motion control and functional safety, including configuring servo drives and developing safety PLC applications using Beckhoff TwinCAT.


Key Responsibilities

As our Automation Engineer, you will:

  • Configure and tune servo drives for high-performance motion systems, including parameterization, loop tuning, and diagnostics.

  • Develop and configure safety PLC applications using Beckhoff TwinCAT and TwinSAFE.

  • Design electrical and control systems for E2M products.

  • Participate in internal and customer design reviews.

  • Create electrical schematics and engineering documentation for internal use and customer deliverables.

  • Test, commission, and troubleshoot systems both in-house and on-site at customer locations worldwide.

  • Provide technical support to the sales and customer support teams.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Hands-on experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 or a similar PLC/automation engineering environment.

  • Knowledge of engineering, design, and safety standards, including EN, CE, and functional safety requirements.

  • Experience with EPLAN or a similar electrical engineering CAD tool is considered an advantage.

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally for commissioning and customer support.
