Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a manufacturing organization in Commerce, California. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed financial work, thrives in an onsite environment, and wants to build long-term stability within a growing team. The person in this role will contribute to daily accounting activities, maintain accurate records, and support core office finance operations.

Responsibilities:
• Support daily payables and receivables activities by entering transactions, tracking outstanding items, and helping keep account records current
• Perform high-volume data entry with a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and timely updates to financial information
• Assist with invoice handling, document review, and maintenance of accounting files to ensure records are complete and accessible
• Provide administrative support related to payroll reporting and help coordinate payroll information through established processes
• Work with the Office Manager and accounting staff to help manage routine accounting tasks and respond to operational needs
• Learn internal accounting and business systems, including M1, to complete assigned duties efficiently and adapt to evolving workflows
• Help transfer and organize accounting responsibilities previously managed by other internal team members to support continuity in daily operations

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an accounting support or clerical accounting role
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Strong data entry skills with consistent attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with invoice processing and financial record maintenance
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems
• Ability to learn new tools, procedures, and internal systems quickly
• Comfortable working onsite in Commerce, California
• Bilingual Spanish communication skills are helpful but not required

Compensation

$19.79-$22.91 Hourly
