Financial Analyst/Manager
Responsibilities:
• Act as the lead finance partner for can manufacturing operations, providing analysis and guidance that connects plant performance with broader financial goals.
• Build and maintain clear reporting on manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, overhead, inventory valuation, standard costs, bills of materials, and routing assumptions.
• Review cost of goods sold and production variances to identify trends in yield, scrap, downtime, efficiency, throughput, changeovers, and margin performance.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, engineering, and supply chain teams to uncover savings opportunities and improve plan-to-produce performance.
• Support the accuracy and effectiveness of cost accounting, production reporting, inventory controls, and data quality through ongoing process and system enhancements.
• Develop financial models and business cases for capital investments such as equipment upgrades, automation, process improvements, and capacity expansion.
• Track the financial outcomes of completed capital projects, compare actual performance to projections, and recommend actions to improve return on investment.
• Contribute to additional financial analyses, operational reviews, and strategic initiatives as business needs evolve.
Qualifications:
• Experience in financial analysis within a manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of operational finance concepts.• Proficiency in cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost structures.
• Demonstrated ability to build financial models, budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure analyses.
• Strong understanding of production drivers such as material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption, yield, scrap, and throughput.
• Ability to translate complex operational and financial data into clear recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with plant leadership, procurement, engineering, or supply chain teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
Compensation
