Bookkeeper
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a services organization in Orlando, Florida. This Contract position is ideal for someone who is confident managing core accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and keeping financial data organized and current. The role offers the opportunity to contribute across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and reporting while working with QuickBooks Online and related accounting tools.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain complete and accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and keeping the general ledger up to date.
• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor outgoing transactions to ensure accounts payable activity is handled on time.
• Prepare customer invoices, post incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support effective accounts receivable management.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve variances promptly.
• Enter journal entries and supporting data with a high degree of accuracy to preserve the integrity of accounting information.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and routine reports that help leadership review business performance.
• Track expenses and code transactions appropriately across accounts to maintain organized and reliable financial records.
• Use QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office applications to manage accounting tasks, maintain documentation, and support reporting needs.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience performing bookkeeping or closely related accounting support work.
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Practical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Experience assisting with financial statement preparation and routine accounting reporting.
• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to accuracy, organization, and detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for spreadsheets, reporting, and general administrative support.
Compensation
