Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a boutique hospitality property. This role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the close process, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with QuickBooks, a strong understanding of GAAP, and prior exposure to hotel or resort accounting environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payments, and collections
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting and close activities
- Monitor cash flow activity and support cash management processes
- Ensure accuracy of financial data and compliance with GAAP standards
- Assist with variance analysis and provide support for operational and financial decision-making
- Work cross-functionally with operations to ensure accurate financial tracking of revenue and expenses
- Support audit requests and maintain organized financial documentation

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within hospitality (hotel/resort) environment
- Strong experience with QuickBooks (5+ years preferred)
- Understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting practices
- Experience with cash flow management (1+ year preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation
