Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in South Bay, Florida for a Contract position. This fully on-site role supports day-to-day accounting operations from Monday through Friday and is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing a high volume of payables with accuracy and consistency. There may be potential for longer-term employment based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities:
• Review and process vendor invoices for fuel, chemicals, parts, and fertilizer using JD Edwards.
• Verify invoice details against purchase orders and receiving records to complete accurate three-way matching.
• Assign correct account codes to invoices and ensure supporting documentation is complete before entry.
• Prepare payment batches and assist with regular check run activities in accordance with internal deadlines.
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
• Provide accounting support to help cover departmental workload and maintain timely invoice processing.

Qualifications:

• Experience in accounts payable or a related accounting support role.
• Proficiency with invoice coding, invoice entry, and payment processing.
• Working knowledge of three-way match procedures.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar enterprise accounting software.
• Ability to manage detailed financial information with a high level of accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a fully on-site, Monday through Friday environment in South Bay, Florida.

Compensation

$20.90-$24.20 Hourly
