Description
Revolution is seeking a Field Service Technician – Automation to support the Mid-South region. This role maintains and repairs bale tying and packaging equipment at customer locations to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in the field, and clear communication with customers. Workload and hours increase during peak seasonal periods, providing increased compensation opportunities for flexibility and responsiveness.
Revolution offers competitive pay and up to $1,000 in potential sign-on bonus opportunities. A company vehicle is provided for travel within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues.
- Repair or replace faulty components and adjust equipment to maintain production efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance and document all service and repair activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and site personnel.
- Support continuous production by minimizing equipment downtime.
- Complete required paperwork and service documentation accurately.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment preferred.
- Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems strongly preferred.
- Basic personal tool set required (wrenches, sockets, Allen wrenches, screwdrivers).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Ability to travel up to 50%, with increased travel during peak season.
