HR Coordinator
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact in the HR office by greeting visitors, directing questions to the appropriate team members, gathering paperwork, and relaying messages.
• Assist with recruitment activities by coordinating pre-employment steps, supporting candidate processing, and helping move new employees smoothly through onboarding.
• Enter and maintain employee and applicant information in HR systems with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Prepare, review, and organize onboarding records to support proper documentation and file integrity.
• Help facilitate orientation and onboarding activities that create a welcoming and informative introduction for new employees.
• Process department-related invoices and expense requests through the university’s accounting platform as needed.
• Partner with HR colleagues and the Human Resources Business Partner on audits, administrative projects, and other operational priorities.
• Follow employment policies, legal requirements, and departmental procedures while handling sensitive information with a high level of discretion.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting onboarding and general HR administration activities.• Working knowledge of background screening coordination and new employee processing.
• Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems for data entry and record management.
• Understanding of HR compliance practices, policies, and employment-related confidentiality standards.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace tools for communication, documentation, and scheduling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Enterprise applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills for interacting with employees, candidates, and internal stakeholders.
Compensation
