Tax Manager - Public
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review a wide range of tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, S-corporation, and high-net-worth filings, with minimal oversight.
• Oversee the preparation of straightforward and moderately complex tax returns while taking the lead on more challenging filings.
• Perform general accounting tasks and bookkeeping using QuickBooks.
• Work closely with leadership to manage large client engagements, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Support tax planning initiatives, ensure compliance, and assist in onboarding new clients while fostering strong client relationships.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to attract new clients and expand business with existing ones.
• Train and mentor less experienced tax professionals, offering guidance and supervision on tax-related matters.
Qualifications:
• Proficient in preparing annual income tax provisions.• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax software.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax return preparation.
• Experience with entity formation and structuring.
• Ability to work with high-net-worth individuals and their tax needs.
• Expertise in developing and implementing effective tax planning strategies.
• Solid understanding of general accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Compensation
