Purchasing Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Create, review, and process purchase orders to ensure materials and services are ordered accurately and on schedule.
• Coordinate day-to-day procurement tasks by tracking requests, confirming specifications, and following purchases through completion.
• Work closely with vendors to obtain pricing, verify availability, and resolve order-related issues in a timely manner.
• Support the purchasing department by maintaining organized records, updating procurement documentation, and monitoring open orders.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to clarify purchasing needs and align orders with operational priorities.
• Assist with merchant services-related activities as needed, including coordinating payment-related purchasing support and vendor interactions.
Qualifications:
• Experience performing purchasing functions in a business, industrial, or operations-focused environment.• Working knowledge of purchase order creation, tracking, and documentation practices.
• Ability to manage multiple purchasing activities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with standard processes used within a purchasing department.
• Strong communication skills for working with suppliers, team members, and cross-functional contacts.
• Proficiency with business systems and spreadsheets used to support procurement and merchant services activities.
Compensation
