Physician Liaison
Responsibilities:
• Develop and sustain productive partnerships with urgent care centers, emergency departments, physician practices, and other referral sources involved in injury-related care.
• Present the organization’s specialty services, diagnostic resources, and care coordination capabilities in a clear and thorough manner to referral partners.
• Support compliant referral flow between external partners and specialty physicians to help patients move through evaluation and treatment without unnecessary delays.
• Recognize obstacles that may slow access to care and work with appropriate teams to address operational issues affecting referral progression.
• Gather and share feedback from referral sources to highlight service needs, relationship trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with internal leaders and provider teams to improve alignment between community referral accounts and specialty care services.
• Represent the organization at industry gatherings, local networking opportunities, and industry events to strengthen market presence and community relationships.
• Contribute to efforts that improve continuity of care from the initial referral through treatment completion and recovery support.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in outside sales, physician outreach, healthcare marketing, or referral development is required.• Background working with first-party and third-party auto insurance claims is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with referral intake, care coordination, or injury-related healthcare workflows is preferred.
• Understanding of specialty treatment pathways such as interventional pain, orthopedics, spine care, or neurology is preferred.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust across legal, clinical, and administrative contacts.
• Ability to explain specialty care processes to non-clinical audiences in a confident and accessible way.
• Proficiency with business and communication tools such as CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and phone-based outreach technology.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a territory and respond effectively to time-sensitive needs.
Compensation
