Job Summary

Our client, an accounting firm, is seeking a Bookkeeper with experience providing light bookkeeping services in QuickBooks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting client bookkeeping needs and is also interested in learning tax preparation in a public accounting environment.

This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to expand their skill set and gain exposure to tax work ahead of the April 2027 deadline. Experience with Lacerte is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform light bookkeeping services for firm clients
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts
• Enter and review transactions in QuickBooks
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
• Help organize client financial data and supporting documentation
• Support the accounting team with general bookkeeping and administrative tasks
• Train and assist with tax preparation processes as needed
• Work closely with firm leadership and staff during the busy tax season

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping experience, preferably within an accounting firm or public accounting environment
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
• Interest in learning tax preparation
• Experience with Lacerte is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach

Preferred Background

• Experience supporting multiple clients or working in a firm environment
• Comfort handling light bookkeeping functions with accuracy and efficiency
• Interest in growing into a broader accounting or tax support role
