Duration: 6–9 month contract

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist with accounting operations and implementation support during a financial system conversion. This role will be instrumental in helping the organization maintain accounting continuity while contributing to implementation-related efforts such as testing, data migration, reconciliation, and backfill support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support general accounting functions, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end activities
• Assist with accounting operations during the implementation
• Participate in system testing, data review, migration support, and reconciliation efforts
• Help ensure financial data integrity throughout the transition
• Provide backfill support to the accounting team as implementation demands shift resources
• Identify discrepancies, assist with issue resolution, and support process documentation
• Collaborate with finance and project teams to promote a smooth implementation

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role
• Hands-on implementation experience, including testing, data migration, reconciliation, or backfill support
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
• Ability to adapt in a fast-changing project environment

Additional Details

• Onsite or remote arrangement is still to be determined
• Full-time preferred, though part-time may be considered
• Contract expected to run 6–9 months
