Position: Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Corporate Services – Contract Role

Location: Philadelphia, PA OR Jersey City, NJ OR Whitehouse Station, NJ

Type: Hybrid (4 days onsite / 1 day WFH – flexible)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Tentative Pay Rate: Up to $63 per hour

Interview Process: 2–3 Rounds

 

Position Overview

This Strategic Sourcing Specialist role is an individual contributor position within the Global Procurement team, supporting Corporate Services sourcing initiatives. This role requires a strong mix of stakeholder engagement, analytical capability, and negotiation expertise.

The ideal candidate will proactively support strategic sourcing initiatives, drive cost savings, optimize supplier performance, and provide consultative support to solve business challenges. This role also requires strong data analysis skills to support strategic decision-making in a global, matrixed environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing Execution

  • Execute full sourcing lifecycle including vendor identification, selection, negotiation, and contracting (MSAs, SOWs, schedules)
  • Lead sourcing initiatives across categories such as consulting, temporary labor, outsourcing, real estate, facilities, and security services
  • Develop sourcing strategies to optimize spend, reduce risk, and maximize savings
  • Manage high-value, complex sourcing engagements independently

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define sourcing strategies, timelines, and project scope
  • Communicate regularly on project status, risks, and key dependencies
  • Influence stakeholders across a global, matrixed organization to drive alignment and outcomes

Cost Analysis & Savings Initiatives

  • Identify cost savings opportunities and drive expense reduction efforts
  • Conduct cost analysis, market research, and supplier evaluations
  • Support procurement decisions using data, trends, and scenario analysis

Additional Responsibilities

  • Evaluate sourcing processes and recommend improvements
  • Develop cost reduction and supplier consolidation strategies
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and service terms
  • Conduct market research and build cost forecasts
  • Assess risk and ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry standards
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships

 


Qualifications:

What Stands Out on a Resume

  • 7+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience
  • Experience managing global sourcing initiatives across corporate services categories
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to drive cost savings and influence stakeholders
  • Experience working within a matrixed organization

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Logistics, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to present to executive audiences (PowerPoint/reporting)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and influence without direct authority

Compensation

$60.00-$63.00 Hourly
