Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to support core accounting operations for a manufacturing organization in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end activities, and ensuring reconciliations are completed on time. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger experience, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage general ledger accounting and fixed asset accounting
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
- Perform account reconciliations and analyze general ledger activity
- Assist with month-end close and monthly financial reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and audit documentation
- Partner with multiple departments to support accounting operations
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations across subsidiaries
- Support process improvements and internal control initiatives
- Provide backup support for AP and AR functions as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or corporate environment
- Experience with general ledger accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and fixed asset accounting preferred
- SAP or large ERP system experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze data
Compensation
