Network Manager
Responsibilities:
• Direct engineering and technical activities from initial concept through final delivery, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality expectations are achieved.
• Plan team capacity, assess resource needs, and adjust assignments to support shifting project demands and priorities.
• Lead employee performance management by contributing to hiring decisions, conducting evaluations, and addressing development or performance issues when needed.
• Partner with program leadership to establish project timelines, cost targets, and measurable execution plans.
• Introduce and refine operational processes that strengthen efficiency, consistency, and overall productivity across the department.
• Support enhancements to product data workflows, configuration control practices, and formal change review activities.
• Collaborate with quality, procurement, manufacturing, and proposal teams to align technical work with broader business and production goals.
• Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership and serve as a point of contact for customer communication when required.
• Verify that designs satisfy technical requirements, applicable standards, and performance expectations for reliability and safety.
• Mentor technicians and mechanics while working closely with production teams on tooling, fabrication methods, assembly improvements, and equipment selection.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a strong background in technical leadership and managing multiple projects simultaneously.• Demonstrated success leading teams with varied skill sets and communicating effectively with employees, leadership, and customers.
• Proficiency with Cisco routers, Cisco networking, network design, Active Directory, and network architecture.
• Working knowledge of engineering development methods, technical documentation standards, and configuration-controlled environments.
• Experience with design and manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly is strongly valued.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed and eligibility to obtain security clearance when required.
• Additional experience with military systems, aviation structures or hydraulics, 3D scanning, or 3D printing is a plus.
Compensation
