Field Investigator
Responsibilities:
• Carry out interviews with witnesses, claimants, and other relevant parties to gather accurate information for active investigations.
• Travel to incident locations to document conditions, observe surroundings, and collect details that support case findings.
• Review accident- and injury-related matters by verifying facts, examining records, and identifying inconsistencies or areas requiring follow-up.
• Assist with case preparation by organizing investigative materials, supporting discovery-related tasks, and helping coordinate required documentation.
• Locate, secure, and maintain evidence in accordance with established procedures to protect accuracy and chain of custody.
• Perform surveillance and field observations when needed to support difficult service attempts or other sensitive investigative assignments.
• Track deadlines, manage multiple active cases, and provide timely updates to ensure work progresses according to required timelines.
• Prepare clear written summaries, reports, and supporting documentation for internal teams, attorneys, or clients.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in investigations, law enforcement, paralegal support, claims review, or a closely related field.• Ability to manage timelines effectively while handling multiple assignments in both office and field settings.
• Working knowledge of accident investigation methods, field operations, and evidence documentation practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct thorough interviews and produce organized reports.
• Comfortable traveling for fieldwork and conducting site visits, canvassing, and other in-person investigative activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Communications, or a related area is preferred.
• California-based candidates are required; private investigator licensure or eligibility to pursue licensure is highly valued.
• Bilingual language skills are a strong advantage.
