Payroll Clerk/ Certified Payroll
Responsibilities:
• Enter, review, and update employee payroll information with a high level of accuracy for regular and certified payroll processing.
• Prepare certified payroll reports and supporting records to meet prevailing wage and project documentation requirements.
• Assist with validating timekeeping, pay rates, deductions, and garnishments before payroll is finalized.
• Maintain organized payroll files and compliance documentation for audits, internal review, and customer reporting needs.
• Support payroll processing for a workforce of varying size by helping coordinate routine calculations and data checks.
• Use Excel to compile payroll details, reconcile information, and produce clear reporting for the broader team.
• Work with payroll staff to address discrepancies, resolve missing information, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide administrative support related to payroll reporting, record maintenance, and other departmental tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in payroll administration, with exposure to certified payroll environments.• Working knowledge of prevailing wage requirements and certified payroll reporting practices.
• Experience assisting with full-cycle payroll activities for employee populations ranging from 101 to 500 workers.
• Familiarity with payroll deductions and garnishment processing.
• Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to organize, reconcile, and review payroll data accurately.
• Experience using payroll systems such as Workday Payroll or similar platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and ability to handle confidential information professionally.
