HR Generalist

Lebanon, IN 46052, US Temporary
Compensation: $30 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support a manufacturing site in Lebanon, Indiana during a Long-term Contract assignment. This position will provide broad human resources support in a fast-paced plant environment, partnering closely with leaders and employees on staffing, employee relations, and daily HR operations. The ideal candidate is adaptable, confident in handling sensitive workplace matters, and comfortable working fully onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing positions, from sourcing candidates through interview coordination and hiring support.
• Partner with supervisors and site leadership to address employee relations matters, including attendance concerns, workplace conduct, and performance issues.
• Lead onboarding activities for new hires and help ensure a smooth orientation experience for employees joining the plant.
• Support HR administration such as maintaining employee records, assisting with benefits-related processes, and updating information within HR systems.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to front-line leaders on HR policies, documentation, and appropriate escalation of workforce issues.
• Contribute to the smooth operation of the HR function by assisting with administrative tasks that support the plant environment as needed.
• Respond to urgent workforce matters in a timely manner and coordinate with supervisors when issues arise outside of standard business hours.
• Work collaboratively with plant leadership in a high-accountability setting and help maintain consistent HR support across the site.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an HR Generalist or similar human resources role within a plant, distribution, or other operational environment.
• Strong background in employee relations, including support for attendance management, performance concerns, and supervisor coaching.
• Experience recruiting for hourly roles; exposure to food manufacturing is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of onboarding, HR administration, benefits support, and HRIS data management.
• Ability to work onsite in Lebanon, Indiana five days per week throughout the contract period.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment that requires resilience, sound judgment, and clear, detail-oriented communication.
• Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and escalate issues appropriately when needed.

Compensation

$30.00-$30.00 Hourly
