Senior Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports, including call reports and other required filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with banking regulations.
• Manage the month-end close process, including reviewing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Oversee the general ledger to maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
• Conduct financial statement audits and collaborate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and insights.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support asset and liability management processes to optimize the bank's financial position.
• Provide expertise in retail banking operations to align financial practices with organizational goals.
• Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various financial initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in regulatory reporting within the banking or financial services industry.• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and conducting audits.
• Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.
• Familiarity with asset liability management and retail banking operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements in the banking sector.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Compensation
