10+ Year Commercial Litigation Attorney - Scottsdale

We are looking for an experienced 10+ Year Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic mid-sized law firm team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role is well suited for a lawyer with a strong background in commercial disputes who can independently drive matters forward while delivering thoughtful counsel and responsive client service. The practice offers exposure to a broad range of cases, including contract, real estate, tort, and commercial matters, with additional value placed on bankruptcy knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Handle litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution, maintaining ownership of strategy, deadlines, and client communication.

• Prepare persuasive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal filings that support effective advocacy in court and throughout the litigation process.

• Lead and manage discovery activities, including drafting written discovery, evaluating responses, and organizing case evidence for hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.

• Represent clients in a variety of disputes involving contractual issues, real estate claims, tort actions, and commercial conflicts.

• Collaborate with clients and internal team members to develop legal strategies that align with case goals and business considerations.

• Appear in court proceedings, negotiations, mediations, and other litigation-related forums as needed.

• Oversee all phases of case management with a high level of organization, ensuring matters progress efficiently and accurately.

• Contribute strong legal analysis and practical judgment to complex matters, including cases where bankruptcy-related issues may arise.

Qualifications:

• Active license to practice law and ability to work as an attorney in Arizona. Will consider relocation candidates who are eligible to waive in.

• At least 10 years of experience handling commercial litigation matters across multiple stages of a case.

• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents with clarity and precision.

• Experience managing discovery and supporting broader trial or hearing preparation activities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented, client-focused approach.

• Ability to work proactively, stay highly organized, and manage competing priorities effectively.

• Background in commercial litigation is required, and exposure to bankruptcy matters is considered an advantage.

• Prior judicial clerkship experience, particularly with a federal court or state appellate court, is preferred.

Compensation

$150,000.00-$300,000.00 Yearly
