About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an HRIS Analyst II to join the Tailored Brands Finance & Payroll Systems team. The role of the HRIS Analyst II includes executing, configuring, and maintaining the PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 payroll system. Key responsibilities will include managing data integrity, troubleshooting payroll cycles, leading system testing for PUM updates, and generating reporting via SQL and Power BI. The role requires 5+ years of experience with PeopleSoft in a North American payroll environment, with a focus on compliance and technical administration. This is a remote position working from a home office in the Houston area with the availability to occasionally work onsite at the Houston corporate office for initial training and onboarding as well as to attend occasional onsite team meetings.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
• Provide daily technical support for payroll processing. Ensure the accuracy of system calculations for weekly/biweekly cycles, including timecards, retro-payments, tax setups, garnishments, and GL interface files.
• Serve as a key functional resource for PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 modules (Core HR, North American Payroll, Benefits, and Time & Labor). Perform Core HR system configurations, troubleshoot system errors and assist users with complex transactions.
• Work with HR, IT, and Finance to document requirements for system changes. Help translate business needs into technical specifications to ensure seamless data flow.
• Perform regular data audits to ensure system health. Monitor user access and permissions to ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy standards.
• Perform user security configuration, audit testing, and user assignments
• Assist with the technical configuration of tax updates and regulatory changes (FLSA, DOL). Support the year-end processing of W-2s and RL1 reporting.
• Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system patches (PUM images) and enhancements. Develop test scripts, document results, and identify bugs before production deployment.
• Build and maintain queries, reports, and basic dashboards using PeopleSoft Query, SQL, and Power BI to support departmental data requests.
What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Finance, or a related field (or 5 years of equivalent experience).
• Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 (specifically North American Payroll and Time & Labor), ExceltoCI uploads, Core HR configuration (include departments, location, job codes, company, pay groups, tax locations, earning codes, TL rules, TRC codes, schedules, and garnishments) and User Security
• Practical experience supporting in-house payroll for a large, multi-state/provincial employee population.
• Strong working knowledge PeopleSoft security administration, sox audits and segregation of duties reviews.
• Proficiency in PeopleSoft Query and SQL; exposure to Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a plus.
• Understanding of the PUM (PeopleSoft Update Manager) cycle and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience participating in time and attendance system implementations or large-scale upgrades.
• Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users clearly and concisely.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on root-cause analysis and data accuracy.
• PeopleSoft functional certifications are a plus.

• Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time

• Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
• Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a home office in the Houston area with ability to occasionally commute to the Houston Oak Park office for initial onboarding and occasional team meetings.

The starting salary for this position is $80,700 - $95,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
