Tax Manager - Corporate
Responsibilities:
• Oversee preparation and review of corporate tax returns, income tax provisions, and related filings across multiple legal entities.
• Manage federal, state, and indirect tax compliance activities, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is complete and accurate.
• Partner with outside tax advisors and audit teams to support filings, examinations, and technical tax matters.
• Analyze tax positions, research regulatory changes, and recommend actions that align with business operations and reporting requirements.
• Support entity formation and structural changes by evaluating tax implications and coordinating required registrations and filings.
• Improve tax workflows through effective use of tax software and process automation tools, including CCH applications where applicable.
• Maintain organized tax records, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to strengthen reporting accuracy and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to gather data, resolve issues, and provide tax guidance relevant to agricultural and related business activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.• At least 3 years of progressive tax experience, with exposure to public accounting, corporate tax, or a combination of both.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax rules along with indirect tax compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing or reviewing annual income tax provisions and corporate tax returns.
• Familiarity with multi-entity business structures and the tax considerations associated with them.
• Working knowledge of tax software such as CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, or similar platforms.
• Preferred background in agriculture, manufacturing, distribution, or another closely related industry.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred, along with strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
Compensation
