Staff Accountant
Are you a detail-driven accounting professional who thrives on accuracy and impact? We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. This position offers hands-on involvement across core accounting functions, exposure to meaningful business operations, and the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, high-performing finance team. This position is responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, providing accounts receivable support, handling invoice inquiries, cash management, monitoring aging schedules, assisting with month-end close, implementing process improvements, and supporting reporting activities in accordance with healthcare regulations and accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of general ledger accounting and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and continuous improvement.
Everyday Responsibilities
· Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and account analysis
· Assist with daily accounting functions
· Reconcile and monitor collection accounts
· Ensure compliance with applicable standards (GAAP)
· Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts
· Monitor the record keeping system
· Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
· Prepare daily credit card transactions
· Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation needed
Qualifications:
The ideal Staff Accountant will preferably have an Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:
· 2++ years of public accounting experience
· Proven GAAP knowledge
· ERP systems expertise, Sage Intacct preferred
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables)
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
