Senior Accountant

Overview

Our client is seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to support and strengthen their accounting function. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys broad responsibility, takes ownership of the close process, and thrives in a collaborative, problem‑solving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute core accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, accruals, and general ledger activity
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries
• Perform and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, researching and resolving variances
• Play a key role in the month‑end close, including timelines, accuracy, and reporting support
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
• Ensure accounting activities comply with internal controls and accounting standards
• Support process improvements, documentation, and special projects
• Serve as a resource to junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior or lead capacity
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; open to candidates with an Associate’s degree in Accounting and significant relevant experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and close processes
• Experience handling multiple accounting areas simultaneously
• High attention to detail with strong analytical skills

Compensation

$70,000.00-$85,000.00 Yearly
