Staff Accountant
This is a high-impact, General Ledger–focused accounting role supporting a fast-paced, multi-entity operation in the Music Entertainment Industry. The position plays a key role in month-end close, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting, partnering closely with accounting leadership to deliver accurate, timely insights that support business decisions.

What You’ll Do:
-Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP
-Own general ledger activity across multiple entities and locations
-Record daily transactions including payments, purchases, and accruals
-Perform intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
-Import and post GL activity from operational systems into the accounting platform
-Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
-Review and approve positive pay activity
-Research and resolve discrepancies with urgency and attention to detail
-Support and actively participate in month-end close
-Maintain monthly close workbooks and supporting schedules
-Assist with monthly and annual financial statement support schedules
-Perform variance analysis and contribute to management reporting
-Produce weekly AR aging reports for leadership
-Prepare monthly receivables recaps for bad debt and reserve reviews
-Support AP processing, vendor setup, and commission payments
-Assist with 1099 preparation and compliance efforts
What Brings Success in This Role:
-3+ years of accounting experience
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
-Strong working knowledge of GAAP
-Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-branch environments
-Hands-on ownership of journal entries, GL, and bank reconciliations
-Month-end close experience in a collaborative accounting team
-Intercompany accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experience
-Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
-Public accounting or public company exposure preferred
-Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or QuickBooks a plus
Location & Schedule:
Santa Monica, CA
Hybrid schedule: 4 days in-office / Fridays remote
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $80,000 – $95,000

Qualifications:
