Bookkeeper (Part-Time -- 25-30 hr/week)

Overview
Growing retail company is adding a Part-Time Bookkeeper to support increased transaction volume and operational expansion. This role will ensure accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and clean reporting as the business continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and vendor relations.
- Process invoices, payments, and deposits with a high degree of accuracy
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end close activities and basic financial reporting
- Support payroll preparation and sales tax reporting as needed
- Partner with ownership/management to improve processes as volume increases
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience (retail or high-volume environments preferred)
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger
- Experience with QuickBooks
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a growing, fast-paced environment

Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.• Proficiency in QuickBooks and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Demonstrated experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proven ability to perform bank reconciliations with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
• High level of accuracy and consistency in financial data management.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and statement preparation is a plus.
Compensation
