Interim Fractional CFO

We are looking for an Interim Fractional CFO to provide hands-on financial leadership for a growing consumer goods client. This contract-to-permanent opportunity requires a strategic finance executive who can work onsite 3-4 days per week for approximately 25-30 hours weekly while guiding both accounting and operational teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong retail, wholesale, and e-commerce expertise, along with the ability to improve financial visibility, strengthen cash management, and support scalable growth across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the company’s finance function by delivering executive-level oversight across accounting operations, reporting, and business performance.

• Manage, mentor, and support a small team of entry-level accounting professionals and operations staff to improve execution and accountability.

• Direct cash flow planning, capital oversight, and financial forecasting to help leadership make sound operational and strategic decisions.

• Oversee monthly and quarterly close activities, including reconciliations, balance sheet review, and timely preparation of financial statements and flash reports.

• Provide strategic guidance on growth planning, profitability improvement, and financial discipline within a consumer products environment.

• Partner with leadership on supply chain and logistics financial planning, helping align inventory, distribution, and operational spending with business goals.

• Strengthen reporting processes and business systems, including effective use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support finance and operational needs.

• Analyze performance across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels to identify risks, opportunities, and actions that support sustainable expansion.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including service as a CFO or senior finance executive.

• Background in consumer goods businesses with demonstrated knowledge of retail, wholesale distribution, and e-commerce operations.

• Strong command of cash flow analysis, capital management, financial reporting, and month-end and quarter-end close processes.

• Experience supervising accounting personnel and collaborating closely with cross-functional operations teams.

• Familiarity with supply chain management, logistics, and inventory-related financial planning in product-based organizations.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and broader business systems used to support finance and reporting.

• Ability to work onsite in New York, New York, 3-4 days per week for approximately 25-30 hours weekly.

• Excellent strategic advisory skills with the ability to translate financial data into practical business recommendations.
