Tax Staff - Public
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review tax filings for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Examine financial records and supporting documents to develop complete and well-supported tax return workpapers.
• Conduct tax research and contribute to planning efforts to address client-specific questions and compliance needs.
• Investigate notices, inconsistencies, and reporting issues, then assist in developing appropriate resolutions.
• Partner with senior accountants and managers to deliver high-quality service across a variety of tax engagements.
• Maintain organized documentation and ensure all files meet firm standards for completeness and audit readiness.
• Monitor updates in tax law and accounting guidance and apply changes appropriately to client work.
• Manage competing deadlines during busy periods while maintaining careful attention to detail and quality standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field.• At least 2 years of tax experience in public accounting or a similar work environment.
• Practical experience preparing returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Progress toward a CPA or comparable credential is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving ability.
• High level of accuracy with the ability to work effectively under multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication skills and a client-focused approach to service.
Compensation
$65,000.00-$70,000.00 YearlyAbout Us
