Ft. Stockton Unit

Major/Essential Functions

  • Professionally clean teeth including prophylaxis and scaling and root planing
  • Presents instructions on proper personal oral hygiene
  • Captures digital radiographs
  • Administers topical fluoride
  • Disinfects surfaces and dental equipment
  • Sterilizes dental instruments according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
  • Takes thorough inventory of instruments through daily counts and logs
  • Serve as Dental Assistant when needed
  • Proper record keeping and maintenance both in manual and automated systems
  • Ensure dental supplies are on hand and ordered in a timely manner
  • Answer sick call requests and schedules patients in a timely manner
Applicants will be considered for either a Full-Time or a Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist Position.

Required Qualifications

Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist
Education: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an approved dental hygiene training program; licensed to practice dental hygiene by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.

Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist
Education: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an approved dental hygiene training program; licensed to practice dental hygiene by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
