Position Description
The Department of Pediatrics at TTUHSC Amarillo is a tight-knit community of physicians with a big mission to train confident and compassionate pediatricians who deliver evidence-based and family-centered care for a diverse pediatric population in an open learning environment.
Our community of pediatricians, both generalists and specialists, provide one-on-one guidance to our residents providing unique educational opportunities for them. The residents receive multiple exposures to procedures and inpatient/outpatient experiences that enhance their clinical acumen.

Major/Essential Functions
- Provide clinical care through ambulatory clinics and inpatient services, including call schedule participation;
- Diagnose and treat a range of blood disorders and cancer in children and adolescents;
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans as part of an interdisciplinary team;
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary; and
- Participate in the training and education of students and residents.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO or MBBS;
- Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3;
- Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGME residency in Pediatrics; and
- Completion of, or in the process of completing, a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
